Terms And Conditions


Bookings cancelled by yourself  less than 4 week(s) and 2 day(s) before 21:00 on the day of check in will incur a charge of 30% of the booking total or 100% of the first night stay, whichever is the greater.
  
Bookings cancelled by yourself less than 14 day(s) before 21:00 on the day of check in will incur a charge of 50% of the booking total or 100% of the first night stay, whichever is the greater.


Bookings cancelled less then a week before or after check in, or in case of a "no Show" will incur the charge of 100% of the booking total.

 

Bookings cancelled by ourselves at any time will be refunded in full unless we can re-arrange the dates or find alternative accommodation.


 We reserve the right to charge your credit or debit card accordingly.


Discounts for Direct Bookings:


Bookings received for stays for two nights or longer via telephone or email direct to ourselves  at Taunton House are eligible for a discount at our discretion. These booking discounts are for private bookings only and NOT for any other agency or online travel agents.

A non-refundable deposit of up to 50% or 1st night stay, whichever is the greater will be payable at time of booking.


Late arrival procedure:


Please contact us to let us know if you will be arriving much later than the agreed time. Guests may arrive up to 9:00 pm at night


Keys:


If you lose our keys there is a £100 .00 charge for replacements of locks & keys as we will need to replace your room key  and all front door keys We reserve the right to charge  your credit or debit card accordingly


Bedrooms: 


Our rooms accommodate a maximum of 2 guests per room.  Only registered guests are permitted to use the rooms, unless you have the our permission.        


Laundry Service:


 We regret we are unable to offer a laundry service.


Damages and Breakages:

 

Please take care when staying in our property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages, damages or missing items, ie: towels or bedding or room contents. All we ask is that you report any incidents as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant, and we may make an additional charge of £25 if you did not report this. We reserve the right to charge your credit or debit card accordingly.


Liability:


 We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or any employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

Privacy Policy / Data Protection:

Any data collected during the course of booking or registering may be stored on our computer. This is for our use and will not be shared with any third parties. Exceptions:  requests by police officers or government official.


Unacceptable Behaviour:


Anyone under the influence, or who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused entry or asked to leave. Threatening, abusive, or anti-social behaviour including smoking anywhere within the property will not be tolerated and anyone demonstrating this kind of behaviour will be required to leave immediately without a refund.  As will any guest that misuses our property or gives us any cause for concern for our safety, or that of our guests. Guests will be liable for the full cost of the booking.  We do not accept bookings for Stag, Hen, or similar events, and is not suitable for clubbers.


Smoking Policy:


For your comfort and for all our guests this is a completely non smoking guest house.   Unfortunately, Smoking in guest bedrooms will result in you being asked to vacate the room and find alternative accommodation at your own expense, in order for us to restore the room back to a smoke free condition.  However, smoking is permitted outside the front door, with an ash bin provided on the front wall.
